Digital noise is usually caused by a high ISO setting. Everyone seems to think that you need a high ISO images made during the night - and if you action photography. However, if you want to photograph night scenes, like a panorama of the city could use a low ISO - if you use a tripod and a full manual control of the camera and can use a cable release to the shutter control. When the shutter speed be adjusted to up to 15 seconds, you do not need a cable release.

After the noise reduction circuit is not activated it. Harm

These values are, in my photo fotosharp.com Sharp () Day & Night Exposure Guide taken "on the city from a distance":

ISO 100

f5.6 @ 15 seconds
F8 @ 30 seconds
f11 @ 60 seconds

ISO 200

f5.6 @ 8 seconds
F8 @ 15 seconds
f11 @ 30 seconds

You mean, when you recorded? It's easier to keep the ISO low, but of course with little light, we still have.

The light, the better.

In the post-treatment can use something like Noise Ninja or filter to reduce noise in an image editing software. There are certain forms of imagination in Photoshop.
